The Living System is ideal for home gardeners who want the
ultimate in hydroponics gardening. This system is easy to set
up, even if this is your first hydroponics garden. Cells have
individual growth modules that are interchangeable, allowing
you to move growth modules to any cell for ideal plant
positioning. Each system comes with a Living System Heart,
which pumps nutrient solution to the cells while it creates an
optimal flow of air into the growing medium. The solution
drains from each cell back to the heart, creating a
re-circulating, top-feed drip irrigation system. The Heart and
all of the cells will maintain an equal level of nutrient
solution. All feed and drain lines are made of black,
flexible, food grade PVC tubing for easy cell positioning and
to prevent algae growth. Bypass clamps can be shut off in
order to flush, drain and clean the system.Generally each 6
cells require 4'x4' to 5'x5' of space in your home, greenhouse
or backyard. A good rule of thumb when deciding what size
Living System to use is to allow 2 sq. feet per plant. This
will vary depending on plant variety. Since there are several
choices of growing medium, these systems DO NOT include
growing medium. Recommended media reusable Hydroton grow
rocks, Rockwool Grow Cubes and Bulk Absorbant Rockwool. The
Living System™ is an innovative method of growing plants
through a central distribution system. At its core of The
Living System™ is a pumping 'Heart' that automatically
flushes, drains and circulates a source of nutrients to all
the connected plant cells at timed intervals. This method
allows growers to measure levels of pH and concentration of
nutrients and correct those levels at the Heart. The Nutrient
Supply Center provides a 5-gallon mixing reservoir, nutrient
level regulation, and a reservoir expansion port, which
accepts an expansion reservoir. This Living System is easily
expandable and can accommodate as many as 60 plant cells at

Reservoir is recommended for 18 cell systems and larger.
Bypass valves insure a constant flow rate, even as you add or
subtract cells. A complete, easy to set up hydroponic system,
the Living System is suitable for both commercial greenhouse
growers and home gardeners. Each cell has an individual growth
module which allows for easy plant positioning and continuous
plant production without replanting. The 6 Cell Living System
kit contains: SIX cells, assembled Heart with pump, Nutrient
Supply Center, and all necessary tubing & connecting
parts. Made of food grade, algae-resistant plastic. Some
assembly required. Ships unassembled with instructions. You
will need to add Hydroponic nutrients, pH Tester, pH Up and
Down, and starter cubes.
